Local Whistler Lakes

Our local lakes have been stocked with rainbow trout offering some great action for the summer!
The stocked lakes have been producing multiple fish to both dry flies and sub surface patterns.
Green lake has produced some beautiful rainbows up to 1.5lbs!
Our high Alpine Lakes are still inaccessible due to the snow line and the river fishing has limited opportunities at present with the run off.
Looking forward the arrival of the Pink Salmon run mid July

June 17th 2011

Despite the cooler temperatures local lakes have been producing both Rainbows and Bull Trout.
Black leeches and Doc Spratley flies in both green and black have proved to be most effective.
Pemberton lakes have been steady with trolling green woolly buggers on medium sinking line giving action.

June 7th

There has been some great sport this week following a Flying Ant hatch.
Alta lake offered fantastic dry fly action as did Pemberton lakes
Green lake has been producing some nice Rainbows and the odd Bull Trout with Woolly Buggers being most effective.
There are many bears low in the valley at the moment to add to a great outdoor experience.
