We have had some great sport on the rivers in the last week. The warmer afternoon temperatures have offered continued Dry fly action. NOW it's time to get the Salmon gear out as the first Chum salmon enter the Squamish river system. Learn how to flyfish for these hard fighting salmon in the most picturesque of surroundings.
Whether it's your first time on the river or you are a hardened professional ,fall is a great time to be on the river!!

The fall is as ever offering some diverse and fantastic fishing. There's plenty more good fishing to come too!! With Sockeye and Chinook salmon in the river system egg patterns have produced many good rainbows. As temperatures have remained high dry fly fishing has also been productive.
Pemberton lakes have also been active with the red dragon fly offering some memorable dry fly fun!
The Chum salmon will soon be entering the Squamish system so hold tight for these strong fighting salmon.

With the higher temperatures in the valley and high water levels we have been fishing some of the high Alpine lakes with great success this last week.Leech patterns.bead head nymphs and dry fly patterns have all been effective.
Green Lake produced a bunch of Rainbows in the 10-14in categorie and a lovely 2lb Bull trout which was great to see.

June Hotspots!
With some of our local lakes having been stoked there has been some great action during the month of June. Both wet and dry flies have been producing from float tubes as well as the shore. Leech patterns in green and black, woolly buggers, and elk hair caddis have all produced.
Alta lake has also fished well with rainbows and the odd decent Cutthroat, like this 22in caught on a muddler.
Green lake is high but still prducing rainbows upto 20 inches on occasion.
Let Trout Country guide you to your next fish!!
